Zo terug kijkend op het tweede deel van de serie moet ik concluderen dat er eigenlijk helemaal niet zo heel veel gebeurd is. Veel spanning zat er niet in en we hebben alleen maar gesproken en gespeculeerd over de vijand maar zijn er geen gevecht mee aangegaan.
Pijnlijk
En ook de romance, als we daar al van mogen spreken, was niet om over naar huis te schrijven. Ik vond het zelfs af en toe pijnlijk irritant hoe Amber te koop loopt met haar gevoelens (alhoewel Rylen dat niet door heeft ) en zich als een schoolmeisje gedraagt.
Ik wil meer
Toch bleef het boek me boeien. Dat is toch wel een complimentje naar de schrijfster waard.
En het einde waarmee ze ons opzadelde, één van de weinig spannende scenes die het boek rijk is, doet toch smaken naar meer.
