Het was best lastig om weer in het verhaal te komen na toch weer meer dan een jaar gewacht te hebben op het vervolg. Sommige dingen die gebeurt waren kwamen al snel weer boven drijven maar soms duurde dat toch wel even. Net als de personages; de één herkende ik direct, voor de ander moest ik wat meer moeite doen.
Maar het grootste gedeelte heb ik toch wel genoten van dit boek.
Het was snel, vol actie en spannend.
Het laatste gedeelte, vanaf ongeveer hoofdstuk 21, werd verwarrend door het politieke spelletje dat er gespeeld werd tussen de hunters, weerwolven en roque weerwolven.
Eerlijk gezegd had ik er af en toe moeite mee om het te volgen. En dat komt vooral doordat het laatste stuk gehaast voelde.
Het was net of alles ineens in een paar hoofdstukken gepropt moest worden.
Verder vond ik het verloop van de relatie tussen Tara en Alex niet bevredigend en tegenstrijdig.
Ik kan niet zeggen dat ik teleurgesteld ben door dit einde maar het geeft me geen 100% voldaan gevoel.
Wat me wel een 100% voldaan gevoel geeft is dat ik weer een serie van mijn lijstje kan schrappen!
