There’s no way to avoid working together, though, and the two are irresistibly drawn to each other. Will Tori and Alen learn how to face their darkest fears, or will the past nip their passionate love in the bud?

Review:

Dit is weer eens wat anders. Een futuristiche New Adult. Iets wat ik nog niet gelezen heb.
En ik kan niet anders zeggen dan dat ik het een erg leuk boek vond. Ik kon me zelfs een voorstelling maken van de wereld die de schrijfster geschetst heeft, en dat zegt wat, want met SF heb ik daar altijd een beetje moeite mee.
De schrijfster is er dus heel goed in geslaagd mij die wereld in mijn verbeelding te laten zien en ik vind dat ze ook een heel originele draai aan het verhaal heeft weten te geven wat betreft de kleding en muziek keuze van Victoria, erg leuk!
Maar niet alleen het terug brengen van 'oude muziek en kleding' is origineel. Ook de vertegenwoordiging van de verschillende continenten en landen die we kennen op deze aarde is origineel.

Victoria en Alen zijn leuke, geloofwaardige personages met allebei een chip op hun schouder.
Alen's niet zo smetteloze achtergrond is een geweldige struikelblok zijn in zijn groeiende gevoelens voor Victoria.
Maar Tori is niet de Elite snob die ze bij de eerste ontmoeting lijkt te zijn en al snel zijn ze verwikkeld in een gepassioneerde relatie. Toch loopt dat niet gelijk op rolletjes.
En ondertussen stuit Victoria op een samenswering die een ruimtelijke oorlog kan veroorzaken.

Een heerlijke SF dus met een erotisch tintje en een beetje spanning.

Ik ontdekte dat dit boek ook nog een voorloper heeft, Fly You Too The Moon.
Inmiddels heb ik die ook gelezen en ik vond hem net zo leuk als deze. Het is alleen een nog korter verhaal dan Make You See Stars.
